2023 Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 750mL

Rising to a dramatic 1,750 feet of elevation on Atlas Peak, the legendary Stagecoach Vineyard traces its storied roots back to the 1800s when early settlers first planted vines along historic stagecoach paths. Spanning 600 contiguous acres of rocky, volcanic mountaintop terroir, this supreme site forces vines to struggle and yield fruit of immense character. Hailed as a true vintage of a lifetime, the 2023 growing season brought a historic, long, and cool climate that allowed for unprecedented hangtime and profound flavor complexity. We crafted this wine from two premier blocks—the Weimer block and clone 15—fermenting them separately before finishing the blend with a touch of Petit Verdot. The resulting Cabernet Sauvignon is complex and harmonious, balancing dense dark fruit and structural weight with an unmistakable streak of mountain minerality.
