2022 Riddle Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2022 Riddle Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Riddle is situated in the western Sonoma Coast at the top of a coastal ridge with a gentle slope near the town of Occidental. James Riddle gives each vine special attention, clipping shoots to the wires to maximize sun exposure and making several passes through the vines to orient clusters and optimize quality. Mt. Eden clone provides a foundation of robust berry flavors and a rich and silky texture. Clone 115 and a small lot of Pommard clone were blended in, creating layers of complexity in the 2022 vintage wine. It offers intriguing bramble berry fruit flavors, intensity and silky tannins that lengthen the finish.

International Wine Report
"My favorite of the 2022 Pinot Noirs from Sojourn is this one from Riddle Vineyard. Sporting a shimmering
bright neon red ruby core with a silvery rim, it gifts an impressive nose of candied strawberries, white peach
skin, lemony herbs, red licorice, and sweet allspice that give way to more spice and sappy flower tones on the
palate. Smooth tannins and elevated acidity lead to a lovely fruit-dominate finish. Editor’s choice and highly
recommended." - Jeremy Young, International Wine Report
