Durell Vineyard has been the source behind some of the most sought-after Chardonnay wines in California history. We feel fortunate to work with two outstanding vineyard blocks that combine to make something special year after year. These two blocks have formed the Sojourn Durell Chardonnay since 2012. Both blocks of 100% Old Wente clone Chardonnay were harvested at night and pressed to extract only the highest quality juice. This 2022 vintage wine is lively and exotic with rich flavors, complexity and focus. We fermented in French oak barrels to produce an expansive wine that illustrates the balance and exceptional character of the vintage.

International Wine Report
"I loved the 2022 Durell Vineyard Chardonnay from Sojourn with its light lemon-gold core and a silver rim. Golden apples, white peaches, marzipan, lemon cream, and bitter herbs all define the aromatics and deliver a subtle Burgundian character on the palate. Medium bodied, integrated with lemony acidity, and a yummy lemon citrus and toasted almond finish complete the wine." - Jeremy Young, International Wine Report

"The nose of this native -yeast-fermented Chardonnay is bright and citric. Zesty lemon aromas dominate, while charming white flower notes add to the complexity. The palate is fresh and mouthwatering, with flavors of ripe pear, apple, quince and hints of baking spice and chalky minerality." - Tom Capo, Wine Enthusiast
