As winemakers, we feel honored to work with these premier blocks within the legendary Stagecoach Vineyard. The vineyard is impressive in its natural beauty, soils, and character of the wines it produces. Originally planted in the late 1800s, this vineyard rises to 1,750 feet elevation on a mountainside and is described as “extreme terroir”. The rocky, volcanic, well-draining soils make the perfect growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. We blended two blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Verdot to create this wine that offers an explosion of dark fruits finishing with hints of cedar and graphite. The palate is bright with great acidity and expansive tannins. It is a collector’s wine from a renowned vineyard and an exceptional vintage!

Owen Bargreen
"For years I have admired Cabernets from this high elevation site that overlooks the Napa Valley. The wine is brooding and deep, showing off beautiful black florals in the glass, alongside freshly tilled rocky soils, cigar box, black currants and shades of espresso grounds. The palate is soft and seamless, with serious verve and a pillowy texture. The amalgamation of freshness and weight works beautifully here, as this is already drinking marvelously in its heady youth." - Owen Bargreen

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The full-bodied 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard is a first for the winery, a blend of Clone 4 and Clone 63 (Wiemer) from two blocks, yet the yield is only 150 cases of this wine. Matured in 70% new French oak, it's cedary and remarkably elegant for a Stagecoach wine, with bright cherry and blackberry fruit framed by firm tannins that lead into a long, dusty finish. From the starting line, where we are now, it looks like a wine that will reward cellaring up to a couple of decades." - Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Wine Enthusiast
"Nuanced aromatics are followed by a full palate of generous flavors. Blackberry, red cherry, tobacco and spice marry to plush tannins, abundant presence, layers of oak and a long mouthwatering finish for a full-bodied and bold wine." - Elaine Chukan Brown, Wine Enthusiast
