2018 Reuling Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2018 Reuling Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Reuling Vineyard has a unique terroir that continues to fascinate us as winemakers. It is planted to three Pinot noir clones: Calera, and two “suitcase” clones from the Vosne- Romanée region of Burgundy: La Tâche and Romanée Conti. Mark Aubert helped develop the vineyard and produced highly rated Reuling Pinot noir wines for ten years. Impressive and distinctive, this 2018 Pinot noir opens with complex aromas of earth and forest floor that lead to dark cherry, mushroom and truffle notes.

"Strawberry, raspberry, white flowers, and plenty of spice emerge from the 2018 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard. This elegant, silky effort is medium-bodied, has terrific balance, present tannins, and good acidity. It's one of the more ethereal, focused wines in the lineup and is going to evolve for 7-8 years, if not longer." - Jeb Dunnuck

"The Reuling Vineyard is located the Sonoma Coast AVA, between the towns of Granton and Forestville. The nose shows nice salted pomegranate seed with orang rind and damp earth tones that take shape in the glass. The freshness imparted is gorgeous, as silky tannins line the core of red fruits, peat moss and shades of cola that linger on the finsh." - Owen Bargreen, International Wine Report

"Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard is scented of fresh cranberries and red cherries with notes of woodsmoke, tar and potpourri. The medium-bodied palate is soft and juicy with loads of earth and spice-laced fruits, and it finishes long and spicy." - Erin Brooks, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
