2018 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2018 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Rodgers Creek Vineyard sits high on a ridge in the heart of the Petaluma Gap, one of the coolest and foggiest growing regions in Sonoma. The vineyard’s cool climate and steep slopes are well suited for growing exceptional Pinot noir. At first sip, the wine really speaks to Pinot noir enthusiasts with its compelling and complex aromas. Expressive red fruit and notes of earth and mushroom shine through with intensity, thanks to the combination of unique soils and dominance of the Pommard clone. This 2018 vintage wine, aided by 20% whole cluster fermentation, offers rich, silky tannins, smooth structure and impeccable balance.

"Seeing 20% stems and 50% new French oak, the 2018 Pinot Noir Rodgers Creek Vineyard gives up a rocking perfume of sweet raspberry and cranberry fruits intermixed with spicy, pine/foresty, and floral aromas and flavors. It's elegant on the palate, with medium-bodied richness, and has good acidity and silky tannins. From a site on the Sonoma Coast, drink this puppy any time over the coming 7-8 years." - Jeb Dunnuck

"The 2018 ‘Rodgers Creek Vineyard’ Pinot Noir is a beautiful new wine. The aromatics show lovely cola and a dusting of white pepper with shades of black truffle. The freshness and verve on the mid-palate is wonderful as there is a light salinity that connects with blood orange zest, wild mushroom and ripe red fruits. " - Dr. Owen Bargreen, International Wine Report

"The 2017 Pinot Noir Rodgers Creek Vineyard was made with 20% whole cluster and aged in 50% new French oak. Pale ruby, the nose reluctantly opens to crunchy cranberries, sour cherries, woodsmoke, earth and dried leaves aromas with touches of baking spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied and earthy with restrained fruit, a grainy frame and good freshness on the finish. 800 cases produced." - Erin Brooks, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Rodgers Creek Vineyard
Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap
Rodgers Creek Vineyard sits at 300 feet above sea level, between Sonoma and Petaluma, in the teeth of the wind and fog of the Petaluma Gap. The vines grow in light, chalky volcanic ash soils in steep inclines. This causes natural vine stress and gives the wine high concentration levels.
