2017 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
2017 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Our 2017 Russian River Valley Pinot noir is a blend from four vineyards and offers a beautiful expression of Pinot noir and the cool climate and loamy soils it excels in. Wohler Vineyard provides classic Russian River Valley characteristics from its site adjacent to the river. Riddle Vineyard, located in Green Valley, provides complexity and nuance. Pratt Vineyard, nestled in the Sebastopol Hills, adds bright acidity and fresh fruit flavors. A small proportion of the renowned Reuling Vineyard balances out the blend with earthy notes and silky tannins.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Aged in 50% new French oak, the pale ruby colored 2017 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is scented of red currants, warm wild blackberries, cinnamon, cranberries and rhubarb with notes of oolong tea leaves, orange peel, woodsmoke and underbrush. The palate is light to medium-bodied with a good interplay of crunchy fruit, spice and earthy flavors, softly framed and with a long, very juicy finish." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"The ‘Russian River Valley’ Pinot Noir by Sojourn delivers cola and red fruits on the nose, showing good typicity of the region. The palate is dense, chewy and delicious with cherry cola and shades of licorice with minerals. Enjoy this excellent wine in the short-term. Drink 2019-2025." - Dr. Owen Bargreen, International Wine Report
