As our most mineral-driven Chardonnay, this wine possesses layers of depth and nuance. The Price Family Vineyards team farms Gap’s Crown to the highest standards of quality and with exacting precision. We source Chardonnay grapes from three distinct blocks within the vineyard, each providing key elements of the final blend. Clusters are typically small and dense. Zesty aromas of citrus, flint and floral notes lead to flavors of stone fruit. The texture is smooth and persistent. This Chardonnay will appeal to both Francophiles and New World Chardonnay fans alike.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2017 Chardonnay Gap's Crown Vineyard sashays out of the glass with brazen notions of baked pineapples, guava, apricot tart and poached pears plus nuances of orange blossom, ginger and marzipan with a waft of clover honey. The full-bodied palate features a gorgeous oiliness to the texture with tons of freshness lifting stacks of tropical fruits and spicy flavors to a good long finish." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

James Suckling
"Lemon curd, cooked apples, grilled hazelnuts and spices. The acidity on the medium-to full-bodied palate really cuts through the apples and pears and delivers a suave, taut package. Medium on the finish." - James Suckling, James Suckling

PinotFile
"Dijon clones 95 and 76. Whole-cluster pressed, low temperature native yeast fermentation, 75% malolactic fermentation, aged in French oak barrels, 30% new. Bottled unfined in August 2018. Moderate golden yellow color in the glass. Aromas of brown butter, pear, lemon-lime, and apple pan dowdy. Discretely rich in lemon-lime, apple, pineapple and brioche flavors with very modest tannins and a lengthy, vibrant finish." - Rusty Gaffney, PinotFile
