2013 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2013 Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Famed vineyard manager Ulises Valdez owns and cares for this Vineyard with an uncommon attention to detail and meticulous farming practices demanded by this extraordinary site. Silver Eagle is a thirty-acre vineyard situated among the rolling hills north of Occidental, in the Green Valley viticulture area, at the western edge of the Sonoma Coast. Sojourn’s blocks within the vineyard are positioned in very low-vigor sections and planted in tight formation in Goldridge soils, resulting in small clusters and intense flavors. In 2013, Pinot noir clones Pommard, Calera and a unique Vosne-Romanee clone were blended together to create this complex wine with intense structure and distinctive character. Cool, coastal breezes and fog help control yields for excellent balance and concentration. This wine has depth and complexity, with aromas of red and blue fruit, Asian spices and a touch of earth.

UV Silver Eagle Vineyard
Sonoma Coast
We are thrilled to offer a return of the Sojourn Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir. Silver Eagle is a world-class coastal vineyard located near Occidental within the West Sonoma Coast. The vineyard’s cool climate and Sebastopol series clay loam soils naturally control vigor, resulting in small, concentrated berries. In 2006, the vineyard was developed by the late Ulises Valdez, one of the top vineyard managers of the Sonoma Coast. His family continues his tradition of farming the vineyard meticulously with elite growing techniques and attention to detail.
