The Sojourn Cellars Proprietary Cuvée is our optimal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from renowned Napa Valley hillside and valley floor vineyards. We produce a Proprietary Cuvée only in vintages when we can create a blend of exceptional quality and aging potential. 2012 was our first vintage blending component wines from the hillside Oakville Ranch Vineyard, with the valley-floor Beckstoffer Vineyard in Rutherford. The higher acid structure and dark fruit character of Oakville Ranch married exquisitely with the lush body and red Rutherford dust of Beckstoffer. For winemakers, the 2012 vintage offered near-perfect conditions to pick the grapes at optimum ripeness for a classic style of Napa Valley wine. This wine possesses gorgeous red and dark fruit aromas that lead to flavors of dark cherry, earth and chocolate.

Sojourn is honored to source fruit from Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III, a famed property developed by winemaking pioneer Georges de Latour in 1928 and cultivated by the legendary Andre Tschelistcheff.
Oakville Ranch Vineyard
Oakville, Napa Valley
At 1,000 to 1,400 feet above sea level, the Oakville Ranch Vineyard looks west over Napa Valley. This high elevation and western exposure, in combination with soils of clay over volcanic rock, produce the rich, powerfully structured wines that make the vineyard one of the most sought-after in California for Cabernet Sauvignon.
