Beginning in 2009, we upgraded our vineyard source for Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon and began working with Wurtele Vineyard, mid-way up the rugged mountain slopes west of St. Helena. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and showcases the classic Spring Mountain dark fruit and sweet herbal notes that are reminiscent of Pride Mountain Cabernet Sauvignons in their best vintages. Deeply concentrated flavors of cassis, black fruit, tar, licorice, and spice satiate the palate and persist with nuanced layering for a smooth mouthfeel and long finish.
