Located just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean in the town of Annapolis, and sitting at 1,100 feet above sea level, Ridgetop Vineyard is Sojourn’s most coastal vineyard site. The maritime influence effectively moderates high temperatures during summer and fall, while the vineyard’s position on the eastern side of the first coastal ridge protects it from fog. Grapes here ripen fully to bright tropical fruit character while maintaining ample acidity. Ridgetop is owned by Fred Schrader and Thomas Rivers Brown and was long-managed by the late renowned vineyard manager, Ulises Valdez (died Sept 2018), and is now managed by his son who is continuing in his tradition.

2020 Ridgetop Vineyard Pinot Noir
Ridgetop Vineyard lies atop the mountains along the northwest Sonoma Coast near the town of Annapolis. Buffeted by Pacific Ocean breezes, vines here undergo a beneficial struggle, producing only miniscule yields with concentrated flavors, provocative aromatics and silky, supple texture.
