Nightwing is an extraordinary young vineyard with potential to match or surpass the neighboring, renowned Gap’s Crown Vineyard. Nightwing is located at 1,200 feet elevation on a windy mountainside at the eastern edge of the Petaluma Gap within the cool Sonoma Coast appellation. The vineyard gets its name from the variety of winged creatures, including herons and bats, that come alive as the sun sets over the vines. The name is also a nod to the land’s owner, a former WWII pilot, who built an active landing strip on the site. The vineyard is meticulously farmed by Atlas Vineyard Management, the same team that farms Gap’s Crown, Walala and Durell Vineyards.
