We source our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from highly regarded vineyards in both Napa and Sonoma counties. From the Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III in the renowned Rutherford appellation to the Oakville Ranch Vineyard in Oakville, each site contributes its own unique character to the fruit. Our philosophy of minimal intervention in the cellar gives each wine a terroir-driven personality that expresses itself fully in the finished wine.
2022 Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford
The 2022 vintage was a year of contrasts. The heat ripened the grapes while these old vines remained strong and allowed us to hang into late October at moderate brix levels. F-block was again the star and comprises most of this Cabernet Sauvignon. The classic Rutherford Dust profile shines in the wine’s layers of dark cherry, blackberry, earth and mocha flavors.
2022 Home Ranch Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley
Home Ranch Vineyard was planted by Sojourn founder Craig Haserot in 2002. To produce this complex cuvée, we blended the Home Ranch lot with Cabernet Sauvignon from neighboring vineyards. The signature blue fruit aromas fill your nose and combine seamlessly with notes of mocha, spice, and red fruits..
2022 Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
Fall Release
As winemakers, we feel honored to work with these premier blocks within the legendary Stagecoach Vineyard. The vineyard is impressive in its natural beauty, soils, and character of the wines it produces. Originally planted in the late 1800s, this vineyard rises to 1,750 feet elevation on a mountainside and is described as “extreme terroir”.
2022 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon
Fall Release
To craft this 2022 vintage wine, we blended Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Petit Verdot from Stagecoach Vineyard with wines made from two impressive neighboring vineyards on Atlas Peak. The result is a robust Cabernet Sauvignon wine of depth and complexity. It exhibits aromas of cherries, plums and dark chocolate and offers a rich and lush mouthfeel with a long, silky finish.
2022 Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Moon Mountain District
Spring Release
Monte Rosso Vineyard is stunning in so many ways, including its views, landscape, soils, old vines, and above all its heritage dating back to the 1800s. We consider it a privilege to make wine from this legendary vineyard with signature red, volcanic Red Hill Loam soils and a long history of producing exceptional wines of depth and complexity.
2022 Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Spring Release
This is Sojourn’s inaugural release of our brand-new Moon Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon. It is elegant and balanced, offering depth and complex layers of flavors and texture. Moon Mountain is located in the Mayacamas mountain range that divides Napa Valley from Sonoma Valley. It is home to the most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in Sonoma County due to its rocky, volcanic soils and warm inversion layer that ripens the grapes to optimal maturity.
2022 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Fall Release
In 2022, our Oakville vineyard blocks were picked in late October and achieved optimal maturity. Each lot was aged in French oak barrels from Darnajou, Taransaud, Orion, and Silvain master coopers. The final blend showcases the exceptional balance associated with the vintage and the signature dark fruit flavors and graphite notes characteristic of Oakville.
