2016 Ridgetop Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2016 Ridgetop Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
One of our most remote vineyard sites, Ridgetop is located in the coastal mountains along the northern Sonoma Coast near Annapolis. Situated high above the Pacific where ocean breezes are ever present and the vines produce miniscule yields with concentrated flavors, provocative aromatics, and silky texture as they struggle to grow. Always a Sojourn fan favorite and one of the fastest wines to sell out each year, this wine offers explosive aromas of red and tropical fruits and burnt orange overlaying a bold strength and complexity at its core. The texture is rich and supple.

"Rich, plump and juicy, with full-bodied dark berry, cherry, raspberry, cola, spice and wilted rose flavors, gaining depth and ending with a dense, persistent aftertaste. Drink now through 2025." - James Laube, Wine Spectator

"Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. Appealing aromas of blackberry fruit, animale, spice and sous bois. Lush fruit and plush mouthfeel are the wine’s two most outstanding features. Engaging, fullbodied flavors of blackberry and black raspberry carry over to the generous finish. A concentrated but spirited wine with deft oak management." - Rusty Gaffney, PinotFile
Ridgetop Vineyard
West Sonoma Coast
Located just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean in the town of Annapolis, and sitting at 1,100 feet above sea level, Ridgetop Vineyard is Sojourn’s most coastal vineyard site. The maritime influence effectively moderates high temperatures during summer and fall, while the vineyard’s position on the eastern side of the first coastal ridge protects it from fog.
