2012 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2012 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
The Rodgers Creek vines are grown in light, chalky volcanic ash soils on steep inclines, causing natural vine stress and resulting in high levels of concentration. Two blocks of Pommard Pinot noir clone form the foundation of this wine, with clone 777 adding bright fruit and silky textures. In 2012, we whole-cluster fermented 15% of the grapes, adding aromatic complexity and vivaciousness. This wine stands out in a crowd and has become a favorite in the Sojourn Tasting Salon.

Rodgers Creek Vineyard
Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap
Rodgers Creek Vineyard sits at 300 feet above sea level, between Sonoma and Petaluma, in the teeth of the wind and fog of the Petaluma Gap. The vines grow in light, chalky volcanic ash soils in steep inclines. This causes natural vine stress and gives the wine high concentration levels.
