2022 Nightwing Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2022 Nightwing Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
This is our second vintage producing a Nightwing vineyard-designate Pinot Noir and we continue to be impressed by the vineyard. This vintage offers depth and nuance with additional structure and longevity. Nightwing is located at 1,200 feet elevation on a windy mountainside at the eastern edge of the cool Sonoma Coast appellation. It gets its name from the variety of winged creatures that come alive as the sun sets. Pommard clone, planted at the top of the vineyard, provides a deep, rich core and silky texture. Clone 115, residing lower on a steep slope, adds fresh red fruit flavors and structure.

Owen Bargreen
"Owned by MacRostie, the Nightwing Vineyard is set on a hillside at 1200 feet. This wine is very juicy, round and downright delicious. Cola and cran-orange flavors collide with underbrush and freshly tilled salty soils on the palate. Complex and delicious, this is going to be really popular with any lover of top notch Sonoma Pinot Noir. Great now, enjoy over the next ten plus years to come." - Owen Bargreen

Wine Enthusiast
"Scads of fresh cherry, spiced fig compote, lavender, cedar and tangerine peel scents waft from the nose of this intensely aromatic Pinot. The palate has considerable acidity, backed by enough tannin for aging and a mountain of cherry-berry fruit and cola spices. Pair this with salmon and caramelized mushrooms." - Tom Capo, Wine Enthusiast

Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap
Nightwing Vineyard is located at 1,200 feet elevation on a windy mountainside at the eastern edge of the Petaluma Gap within the cool Sonoma Coast appellation. The vineyard gets its name from the variety of winged creatures that come alive as the sun sets over the vines. Sojourn’s four blocks were planted in 2017 to Pommard clone as well as Dijon clones 115, 667, and 828. The Pommard clone provides a deep, rich core, with the others adding layers of complexity and robust fruit flavors.
