2021 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2021 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
We are thrilled to return Rodgers Creek Vineyard to our Spring line-up. This vineyard sits high on a ridge in the heart of the blustery Petaluma Gap. The vineyard’s climate and steep slopes are well suited for growing exceptional Pinot Noir, offering compelling aromas that evolve in the glass. Expressive red fruit and notes of earth and mushroom shine through with intensity, thanks to unique soils and dominance of the Pommard clone. We fermented 20% of the grapes whole cluster in 2021, adding aromatic complexity and structure.

International Wine Report
"Rich forest fruits and wet earth tones start the superb 2021 Rodgers Creek Pinot Noir from Sojourn. It’s a complex and flavorful bottle of wine that offers notes of boysenberry, crushed black cherry, pomegranate seeds, pencil shavings, and a hint of cola. Moving to the palate, more flavors of juicy blue and black fruits merge with cedary herbs, ground clove, and umami tones. Tannins are a bit grippy but in check with the medium-high levels of acidity, while it finishes with blue fruit and savory earth notes on the mid-palate. " - Jeremy Young, International Wine Report
Rodgers Creek Vineyard
Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap
Rodgers Creek Vineyard sits at 300 feet above sea level, between Sonoma and Petaluma, in the teeth of the wind and fog of the Petaluma Gap. The vines grow in light, chalky volcanic ash soils in steep inclines. This causes natural vine stress and gives the wine high concentration levels.
