2019 Ridgetop Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
2019 Ridgetop Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
Ridgetop Vineyard is located in the remote coastal mountains along the northern Sonoma Coast. The vines produce miniscule yields with concentrated flavors, provocative aromatics, and silky texture as they struggle to grow. One of the fastest wines to sell out each year, this wine offers explosive aromas of red and tropical fruits and burnt orange overlaying a bold strength and complexity at its core. This wine is produced from Dijon clones 777, 667 and 115, which are desired for rich cherry fruit and generous, age worthy tannins. “More medium bodied on the palate, it plays in the more elegant, seamless end of the spectrum, with light tannins and a beautiful finish.” – Jeb Dunnuck

"Another classic Sonoma Coast release, the 2019 Pinot Noir Ridgetop Vineyard has a beautiful perfume of black raspberry and tart mulberry fruit supported by ample underbrush, forest floor, and even a hint of marine-like minerality. More medium-bodied on the palate, it plays in the more elegant, seamless end of the spectrum, with light tannins and a beautiful finish. It’s another classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years." - Jeb Dunnuck
Ridgetop Vineyard
West Sonoma Coast
Located just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean in the town of Annapolis, and sitting at 1,100 feet above sea level, Ridgetop Vineyard is Sojourn’s most coastal vineyard site. The maritime influence effectively moderates high temperatures during summer and fall, while the vineyard’s position on the eastern side of the first coastal ridge protects it from fog.
