Planted by Sojourn founder Craig Haserot in 2002, the Home Ranch Vineyard is tucked away in the southwest corner of Sonoma Valley, where it is warm enough to fully ripen Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine explodes with blueberry fruit aromas and notes of mocha and cassis. The texture is silky, with fine grain tannins that lengthen the finish. The moderate 2018 weather, cool evening temperatures and a long, even growing season allowed the grapes to fully mature and gain complexity. You can easily drink this velvety wine now or age it for 20 years!

"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Home Ranch Cuvee comes mostly from vines on the west side of Sonoma that were planted by Sojourn founder Craig Haserot. Revealing a dense purple hue, the wine offers a youthful, subtly unevolved nose of dark black and blue fruits intermixed with plenty of sappy green herbs, graphite, tobacco, and lead pencil. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it displays that classic Sonoma vibe of minerality, acidity, and structure, while still bringing plenty of fruit and richness." - Jeb Dunnuck

"Tasting of freshly picked blueberries and black currants on a summer day, this bold, approachable and richly layered wine is a blend of several sites, both cool and warm. Dried herb, sage and oak rise from the nose to show a silkiness of texture and supple tension.

"Sourced from Sonoma County, the ‘Home Ranch Cuvee’ was planted by Sojourn founder Craig Haserot in 2002. Aged in 70% new French oak before botting, this shows dense creme de cassis and mocha tones with blackberry compote and graphite tones on the nose. The palate shows good fruit weight and density. Rich dark fruits parade with chocolate and Linzer torte tones on the palate. Fresh and energetic, this has a long life ahead of it." - Owen Bargreen
Home Ranch Vineyard
Sonoma Valley
Planted by Sojourn Founder Craig Haserot, the Home Ranch Vineyard is located just 10 minutes northwest of the town of Sonoma. The vineyard sits in a small bowl protected by the southern edge of Sonoma Mountain. The microclimate averages 3 to 5 degrees warmer than downtown Sonoma. The heat brings Cabernet Sauvignon to full maturity, for dark, concentrated wines.
